African violets are a must-have for any indoor garden because they flower year-round under the right growing conditions. African violets prefer temperatures from about 65 to 80 degrees and humidity at about 30 to 50 percent, which is roughly what’s comfortable for most people, too.  Keep them a foot or two away from a bright east- or south-facing window.
